Where is Board Appointments UK based?
Board Appointments UK is part of the Board Appointments Group that operates internationally. We have a dedicated team that services our UK members.
Are you a recruitment firm?
Whilst our primary services provide Non-Executive Director (NED) career support for our members. We also utilise over two decades of board recruitment expertise to offer a boutique board recruitment service with one of the most affordable packages in the UK.
Do I need a NED LinkedIn profile and a NED LinkedIn profile?
No. We will either write for you or guide you in how to update your LinkedIn profile in such a way that it reflects both your executive career and your board aspirations. We have helped thousands of our members do this successfully.
I just want my board CV written for me or my board application reviewed. Do I need to become a member?
You don’t need to be a member. You can purchase a range of one-off services here. However, our Access+ and Executive Membership include some/all of these services.

What type of board vacancies do you advertise?
We aim to be the UK’s largest advertiser of board vacancies from a wide range of companies – Public, Commercial, and Not-for-profit – across a wide range of industries. See the list of all past vacancies here.

Approximately 74% of the roles we advertise are paid or pay expenses.
MEMBERSHIPS
How long will I have access to the training materials?
You will have access to the training materials for the entire length of your active subscription. Each subscription period for all memberships is 12 months.
What happens when my membership ends?
Unless you let us know, your membership will automatically renew 12 months after the date you joined. You may cancel at any time before that date by emailing us.
How is the training delivered?
All of our training is delivered online and is self-paced. It can be accessed via your membership dashboard after you log in.
What if I do not live in the UK?
We have a separate website, Board Appointments International, for aspiring independent directors residing outside the UK.
CURRENT MEMBERS
Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership?
You can upgrade or downgrade your membership level at any time. If you wish to upgrade, we will calculate the changeover amount based on your current membership status. Membership downgrades will only take effect when your current membership is due for renewal. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership via your MyAccount Page or email us to discuss.
How can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time. This will result in the cancellation of the automatic renewal of your current membership on its anniversary. Your current membership will remain active until that date. You can cancel your membership via your MyAccount Page.
What if I’ve forgotten my password?
You can reset your password here. If you are unsure which email address you used to set up your account, or if you require any assistance, please email us.
How do I get my ‘Board Ready’ CV completed?
If you have joined as an Access+ or Executive member, please submit a WORD version of your current CV via your membership dashboard. Generally, final versions of board-ready CVs are completed within 10 days of submission. Please let us know if you require an urgent turnaround.
How do I load or update my NED profile?
You can input and update your profile via your MyAccount page. Then select “NED Directory Profile” from the menu on the left.

How much does it cost to post a role on the website?
You can advertise board roles for free.
How to post a board role on the website?
You can either post your vacancy via our online form or send us the details at contact@boarddirection.com.au, and we will post it on your behalf.
Can I edit my listing?
If you list your board role via the online form, you will automatically be set up with an Adveriser’s account. Instructions to set your password will be sent to your email account. Please check your spam and junk folders for this email.
