Christopher de Mattos

Christopher is a Chartered Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Imperial College, London. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, is an INSEAD Certified Director (IDP-C) and past Chair of the INSEAD Directors’ Network. He was a co-founder, Finance Director and COO of RAB Capital and played a pivotal role in securing the company’s listing on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 2004, when RAB became the first single-strategy hedge fund to list in London. Prior to joining RAB Capital, he worked as an engineering officer in the Army before moving to the City and working as an Equity Analyst and Head of Research in Europe and Latin America. Christopher now serves as a non-executive director of RAB Capital and chair of the Advisory Board of executive search firm 33 St. James’s. He is a Trustee and Treasurer of the Lord Kitchener National Memorial Fund, a jury member of the Ethics & Trust in Finance Prize and an adviser to Imperial College as a member of the Imperial College Court.
