I am a Chair, Trustee, Board Member, Director and Data, AI and Digital Transformation and Strategic Planning Executive with over 25 years of board level experience with experience in Financial Services, FMCG.
At board level, what I do is spearhead transformative strategies, and drive & empower organisational growth. I do that by fusing commercial and process/operational experience with an understanding of data, analytics and technology/software delivery.
In an executive capacity, I am an International Senior Executive, experienced in engaging at the Executive Board level within global organisations and managing significant globally diverse and matrixed organisations across data, analytics, operations, technology, sales, marketing and strategy. I create business driven solutions that deliver value quickly whilst demonstrating direction towards a strategic end state.
I am a board member at the MIT Center for Information Systems Research and currently driving research in the data and AI ethics domain.
I have built a generative AI Strategy for QBE together with 3 divisional CEO’s that has delivered a scalable capability across 3 divisions allowing replication and reuse and delivering to production in 12 weeks. The application was replicated globally and in its first 3 months resulted in 120% increase in quotes and a 51% increase in top line revenue. We have been recognised as a leader in the industry around our responsible use of AI approach and our controlled and measured deployment of the strategy.
My diversity contribution comes from my upbringing in East London, from a poor family motivated to improve through the struggles I faced, leaving school at 17 to adopt a trade under the guidance of my parents and only building my education through my own focus on a different path, away from hardship. I now seek opportunities to help and give back to those less fortunate than I.
Finally, I have a Master of Science with Distinction in Financial Services Management. I am a FCMI Fellow. I was also named one of the 100 Most Influential Global Leaders by Data IQ in 2019 and 2020, top 100 Data Visionary in 2020, and named in the Top 100 Global Chief Data Officer 100 Awards for 2023.
