Richard Meddelton
Board Trustee/Director
● I am a Board and Committee Member, Managing Director, Banker and Executive Coach with over a decade of board-level experience across the financial services, banking, and not-for-profit sectors with expertise in business and strategic planning, financial analysis and advisory, financial structuring, business development, mergers and acquisitions and risk management.
● At board level, I help organisations achieve results across complex environments. I do this by leveraging significant governance experience for several internal businesses with multi-million-pound operations. I can also evidence deep experience presenting to board members and external stakeholders, including HM Government, on regulated issues.
● In an executive capacity, I am an accomplished senior executive and a banker (Barclays, RBS, Santander and Lloyds). I have helped establish the UK presence of an Overseas Challenger Bank, including the launch of new product capabilities, and have advised a range of businesses—from start-ups and SMEs to Partnerships, Mid-Caps, and multinationals. I have also spearheaded a major regulatory programme, building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to unlock opportunities, and implementing change across Corporate and Commercial businesses. I have also held senior responsibility for one of the most significant risk-based change programmes in the financial sector, informed by extensive experience in operational, credit, and business risk.
● Finally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Economics (Second Class Honours, Upper Division), a MBA with Distinction, and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers along with several industry and coaching certifications.
