Partnered with the public and private sector to design quality projects with solutions producing commercial rewards and substantial economic and community benefits. Collaborated with King Edwards Trustees in the late 1990’s to complete only the second major London specification multi-story residential development in Birmingham with 350+ residential units and completed more than 700 additional residential units in 5 other major schemes while planning and developing another 500 units and 400,000+ square feet of mixed-use commercial use. • Produced imaginative solutions to complex Brownfield projects including purchase of Siemens 55-acre research facility, master planned the site as an “open” science park and sold to specialized fund earning more than 80% return on acquisition cost within 18 months. • Led the company to multiple awards including the prestigious annual National Waterside Regeneration Award sponsored by BURA. • Delivered schemes dramatically impacting Birmingham City Centre landscape including King Edwards Wharf and Islington Gates moved the market price point on initial schemes by more than 45%. • Completed commercial projects including Astle Park retail park, West Bromwich, supported by government quango, Advantage West Midlands (AWM), leading to Tesco Superstore, while providing investment exit by sale to Hermes. • Regenerated Office tower near to the BT tower in Central Birmingham featuring ex-telecommunications office block transformed into high impact completely refurbished landmark building with separate new build block comprising over 240 overall apartments. • Worked with British Waterways Board on project with 400 units, offices, and retail. • Joined with Hammerson on residential and part retail project in Birmingham at entrance to £750M Bull Ring shopping complex development and £80M residential element of Cabot Circus £650m retail complex in Bristol including the residential tower over Harvey Nichols. • Other projects delivered including £140M, 7.5 acre, Butts mixed use scheme, Coventry, incorporating QCDAs (Department of Education) 65,000 square foot office relocation from London, hotels, and leisure. This project involved a close partnership with government ministers, government quangos, civil servants, the local authority as well as end operators such as Extra Cares 285-unit facility, premier Inn, and community theater. • Master-planned and secured detailed planning for 1.1m Sq ft strategic redevelopment of Edgbaston International Cricket Facility in Birmingham in nine months and delivered the first two phases working with AWM, Birmingham City Council, and Warwickshire CCC. Involved in running 4 City Challenge areas (a central/local government initiative). Projects in Manchester, Liverpool, London, Coventry, Nottingham, and Birmingham. We initiated, master planned and facilitated several billion pounds of regeneration projects.
