Katja Sohr
Chief Architect
● I am a Non-Executive Director and Chief Architect with almost a decade of board-level experience across the nuclear, defence and critical infrastructure, transport, and professional consulting sectors with particular expertise in enterprise architecture, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, cyber resilience, governance, operating models, risk-aware innovation, and board advisory.
● At the board level, I drive transformation and digital change. I do that by shaping strategy, governance, and modernisation across highly regulated environments; strengthening resilience; enabling the responsible adoption of AI, data, and digital technologies; simplifying complexity; aligning stakeholders; providing constructive challenge; and supporting boards and executives to deliver long-term value.
○ In an executive capacity, I am the Chief Architect at Nuclear Restoration Services, where I provide strategic oversight of digital, data, and AI-enabled transformation to support the decommissioning of 14 United Kingdom nuclear power stations. Previously, I was Enterprise Architect / Chief Architect at Exception, advising senior executives on technology strategy, governance, investment, and major transformation programmes across the nuclear sector. Earlier, as Principal Enterprise Architect at Atkins, I led enterprise strategy and transformation across defence and critical national infrastructure, providing architectural assurance, operating model design, digital strategy, and technology investment for large-scale programmes supporting more than 250,000 users across 900 locations.
● Finally, I have a Diploma in Computer Science, a Pre-Diploma in Computer Science, and various industry certifications including a Non-executive Director Certification.
