I have been engaged in the Financial Services Sector and specifically the Asset Based Finance and Automotive Leasing industry for over 45 years holding a number of C – level positions with major financial institutions both in the UK and Internationally. Now acting as a Board Adviser, Non - Executive Director and also Chairman of Finativ a Financial Services consultancy and advisory service.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Banking and Financial Services and SMF1 approved by the FCA.
In 2013 a Founding Director / Shareholder and CEO of the Maxxia Group that became one of the fastest-growing asset based lending, intermediary and fleet management groups in the UK; in five years the group grew from a greenfield start-up to originating over £600m of new business per annum and a lending portfolio of over £380m.
As a CEO and Board Director I have led over 50 M&A transactions on the both the buy and sell side.
M&A experience also extends to advising on next stage corporate growth including diversification, acquisition, and Management Buyouts, leading deal negotiations, and advising on valuations, cultural fit, joint-ventures, and post - acquisition activities.
Engaged in a number of Private Equity transactions both as a client and more recently as an advisor.
Chaired Board Committees for Corporate Governance and Regulation, Operational Risk, Credit and Risk Management, Business Transformation, Portfolio Management, HR structures and Remuneration.
Led the execution of a divestment strategy for a major US corporation to eliminate $285M of costs, and repatriate liquidity of $1.8bn to the US parent following the Global Financial Crisis responsible for the divestment and restructuring of a number businesses in Europe, Australia, and Mexico.
