Oil and gas exploration and production professional, with a background in petroleum engineering and more than 35 years of experience working worldwide in the E&P business. My professional career has spanned through three main paths:
a. Asset management: exploration, production operations, reserves management, planning and technology development
b. Business development: merger & acquisitions opportunities in E&P companies
c. Industry Specialist: technical and economic viability analysis of oil and gas investment projects (E&P upstream and downstream, oilfield services, FPSO, LNG, CNG) in developing countries in a multilateral financial institution (IFC member of the World Bank Group)
Major achievements include:
• Risk and value assessment of more than 350 oil and natural gas exploration and development business opportunities, field services and gas monetization projects at IFC covering more than 30 countries worldwide (2007-2015)
• Development of Petrobras Energia upstream field operations:
Venezuela: Oritupano-Leona reaching more than 50,000 barrels of oil per day (2002-2006)
Ecuador: development of block 31 and block 14 (2000-2002)
Peru: development of block 10 (1999-2000)
• Development of Perez Companc field production strategy, focused on operational efficiency and environmental quality (Argentina, Bolivia)
• Leading the initial Repsol upstream E&P operations in South America outside of Argentina (Venezuela) with more than $ 350 million of investment commitment (1994)
