I am a Board Member, Trustee and CEO with fifteen years of board level experience with expertise in the Information Services, Media, Maritime, Publishing, Digital Innovation, Production, Technology and Not-for-Profit sectors.
At board level, I drive strategic, financial, commercial and operational transformation for business growth. I do that by leveraging my knowledge gained in media and publishing, digital innovation, public sector procurement, major capital projects and charity leadership. I bring expertise in fundraising, brand development, sales & marketing, strategy creation, development and implementation, corporate governance, stakeholders’ relationships, project management, operational efficiency and building high-performing teams in large and small scale organisations.
Board level highlights include: Trustee at the London Library, Non-Exec Director & Trustee at the Maritime Archaeology Sea Trust, Advisory Board Member at the Global Thinkers Forum, and Board Member of Camden Town Unlimited and former trustee of Wessex Heartbeat.
In an executive capacity, I am currently the CEO of Jubilee Sailing Trust. Here I lead the transformational change of the funding and financial model, broaden UK and international donor networks and manage statutory, regulatory and governance matters.
Previously I was the Director of Development, Associate Director, Head of Business Change, St Pancras Campus and Head of Operations, London at the British Library. I led the delivery of the £33m Newspaper programme which transformed preservation and access to a vital part of the Library’s collections, and managed the multi-million pound competitive dialogue procurement for developing 2.8 acres of the Library’s site at St Pancras. I created the idea and delivered the partnership to create The British Newspaper Archive now holding more than 50 million pages www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk
Earlier I was an award winning journalist and daily newspaper editor. I hold a Post-Graduate diploma in Journalism.
I am a collaborative, inspirational and empowering leader, manager and mentor and enjoy building and developing highly successful multi skilled and multi- talented teams in different and diverse sectors and environments.
