 Executive Board Advisor, CEO, Former Senior Government Official

I am a CEO and former Senior Government Official with board-level experience with particular expertise in the Pharmaceutical, Global Health, Government, National Security and Defence sectors. In an executive capacity, I served as the CEO of a discrete investment consortium focusing on cybersecurity and the defence of critical national infrastructure. Here I led a team of former, senior government officials in defence & intelligence in conjunction with signal intelligence agencies, acted as an industry advocate on the UK Prime Minister’s National Security roundtable and managed a £10.5B investment portfolio. Previously I built a career within the world’s leading Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies Amgen and Roche. Here I managed a $50M budget and led a team of policy professionals. I also acted as a EFPIA Digital Health expert to the EU Commission, and developed a 3-year global roadmap on Medical Compliance Excellence and Political Risk strategy reducing critical processes by 30%. At board level, what I do is enforce regulatory compliance and strategic discipline. I do that by leveraging my knowledge in global strategy & policy development, global health security & diplomacy; political & government relations; process improvement; stakeholder engagement; project management, and fostering innovation in business delivery. Board level highlights include: Member of the UK Prime Minister’s National Security Roundtable; member of several IFPMA committees, and supporting the board of F. Hoffmann-La Roche. Finally, I hold a Master in Medical Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London and benefited from a Bioengineering research placement in the University of California, San Diego.
