I am a Chair, Non-Executive Advisor, and COO with extensive board level experience and particular expertise in the Financial Services sector, and specifically in Global Markets and in bridging Centralised (CeFi) and Decentralised Finance (DeFi). At board level what I do is drive business transformation and growth, mitigate risk, and improve the governance of organisations. I do that by leveraging my knowledge in strategic planning, risk management and regulatory compliance, with a strong
professional network, across the financial services industry. Board level highlights include serving as a Non-Executive Advisor at YourBoard and S&DN Consulting, Chaired various Governance Committees at HSBC, and a Subsidiary Board Director of one of the Bank’s Brokerage entities.
In an executive capacity, I am the Founder and CEO of S&DN Consulting. My previous 27-year career with the HSBC Group in the Investment Bank spans the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, where I held C-Suite positions. During this time, I played pivotal roles in formulating strategies for multiple acquisitions and disposals; was at the cutting-edge of innovative DeFi activity; and at the forefront of regulatory compliance, as a result of successfully managing through two Deferred Prosecution Agreements. My responsibilities included managing P&L businesses with revenues exceeding USD 50 million, overseeing multi-million USD Programmes, leading large cross-jurisdictional teams, with operating budgets >USD 30m.
I have a post-graduate Financial Times Non-Executive Director Advanced Diploma.
